Bathrooms · Norwich & Norfolk
Complete bathrooms, walk-in showers, en-suites and cloakrooms: stripped out, fitted, finished and wired by one team.

What we do
Bathrooms are the room where electrical requirements are strictest and most commonly ignored. Zones dictate what fitting can go where and at what IP rating; supplementary bonding, RCD protection and correctly sited isolation aren't optional extras.
They're also the room where the finish is inspected most closely, usually at close range while brushing your teeth. Straight lines, clean silicone and a neatly set shower valve are what you actually live with.
Full bathroom renovations: strip-out, sanitaryware, extraction, lighting and compliant electrics.
Baths converted to walk-in showers, with trays and screens set out to look right and stay watertight.
New en-suites and downstairs cloakrooms planned to make the most of small, awkward spaces.
Lighting, mirrors, shaver points, extractor fans and heated towel rails installed to bathroom zone rules.

If anything changes once work begins, we'll explain it and agree the cost with you before going any further.

Local expertise
Two Norwich patterns come up constantly: the period terrace with the bathroom squeezed into a cold back addition, where extraction and warmth matter more than fittings; and the 1960s–80s home with a bathroom that has never been touched and no RCD protection anywhere near it. Both are very satisfying rooms to bring up to standard.

Start to finish
Planning, ordering, creation and completion, all handled by Acorn, with one point of contact from the first visit to the final sign-off.
We visit, listen and talk through the options that suit your home and budget, then confirm everything in a free, written quote. Projects over £500 take a 50% deposit, with the balance on completion.
We source and order the materials, units and fittings, and arrange deliveries around the programme, so you're never left chasing suppliers. Already chosen your own? We're happy to fit them.
The work itself, carried out carefully and tidily by one team for the electrics, fitting and finishing. You'll know who is coming and what's happening each day.
Electrical work tested and certified, every detail checked, and the space cleaned and handed back only when you're happy. Afterwards, you'll still speak to the same person who did the job.

Common questions
Need a more specific answer? Call Phillip and you'll speak to the person doing the work.
A typical full bathroom replacement is usually around one to two weeks on site depending on the size of the room and any layout changes. You'll get an indicative programme with the quote.
Standard socket outlets must be sited outside the zones and at least 3 metres from a bath or shower boundary. Shaver supply units are permitted in specified positions. We'll set out what's allowed for your room's actual dimensions.
In practical terms, yes, and for most bathrooms without an openable window it's a requirement. Persistent condensation and mould are almost always an extraction problem rather than a heating one.
Often, within reason. Moving a WC in particular depends on soil pipe routes and falls. We'll look at what's realistic before you commit to a layout.
